Bravo et merci aussi à toute l'équipe du TRMC. Quelle magnifique cérémonie. Après avoir surmonté tant de nouveaux obstacles dus à la pandémie, vous avez réussi à organiser un événement d'une grande qualité. Tellement beau à regarder et écouter. Un grand moment.

Félicitations à tous les lauréats 2020 et d’une manière spéciale à Jeanne Mance pour cette distinction honorifique posthume! Une reconnaissance méritée pour son accomplissement d’envergure dans la fondation et l’administration de l’hôpital Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal en tant que première infirmière laïque au Canada.
I was so pleased to see Dr Jean Gray honoured with this award. She is highly deserving. She was a tremendous physician and role model. I was fortunate to be on service and in clinic with her many times as an intern and later as a resident. I still ask myself when making medical decisions “ what would Dr. Gray do” and if it differs from what I was planning to do I know I need to change course. She also instilled the importance of self care for physicians which was not in vogue at the time but has impacted how I practice to this day. I remember her kindness and that medical student teaching sessions were prefaced with her buying all students a meal first as she knew many of them couldn’t afford food. Congratulations Dr Gray and thank you for the impact you have had on my life and career. You are one of the people who truly made a difference in my life.

Congratulations to all the 2020 inductees and to the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame for maintaining and sustaining medical breakthroughs, innovation, competence, determination and utter dedication over the decades of their outstanindng achievements and service to health care in Canada. Every Canadian is most certainly in your debt.
